| RECYCLED PAPER |
Recycled paper is the end product of paper recycling. The production of recycled paper has significant environmental adavatages over virgin (nonrecycled) paper production, including less impact on forest resources, less air pollution, less water pollution, less water consumption, less energy consumption and less solid waste.
Prices for recycled printing and writing papers are generally slightly higher than for virgin printing and writing papers, because of a smaller economy of scale for recycled paper production. In fact, recycled papers still comprise less than 10 percent of the printing and writing market.
This recovered waste is used in the following proportions:

| Blister Cards use a water-based coating instead of a solvent-based coating because of lower VOC (Volatile Organic Compound). This makes it more environmentally friendly. |

| BENDING CHIP |
| Approximately 80% of Bending Chip is composed of post-consumer recovered fiber. Almost 1/2 of this is made up of loose waste collected through curbside recycling, while the remainder is commercial/industrial collection of baled mixed wastepaper, old corrugated container (OCC) and baled recycled news.
The remaining 20% is pre-consumer fiber sources from industrial trimmings and the like. |

| Bleached paperboard or solid bleached sulfate (SBS) is a premium paperboard grade that is produced from a furnish containing at least 80% virgin-bleached wood pulp. Most bleached paperboard is coated with a thin layer of kaolin clay to improve its printing surface and may also be coated with polyethylene (PE) resin for wet strength food packaging. |

Lightning fast? Just about. With our NEW Computer-to-Plate technology, turn around is much faster. Once we have the design from you, we run the art through our in-house software program that rips and traps the job. Once that is completed, we proof your carton on our Epson digital proofer and send back to you for approval. When the job has been approved and the signed proof is back in our hands, it goes even quicker. We can output digital plates in a fraction of the time it used to take with film. This will save you TIME and MONEY.
If you don't have your own design, don't worry. Western Container's Macintosh-based art department can provide it for you. We can create your design and/or logo at a fraction of the cost a design studio would charge.
